A national home for artists working across cultures
Canada National Artists Association (加拿大藝術家協會) supports visual artists, calligraphers, and cultural organizations through exhibitions, education, and heritage programming. Our work spans international exhibitions, art lectures, calligraphy and seal-carving research, artist exchange, and the presentation of intangible cultural heritage.
Our Mission
The Canada National Artists Association is home to several branch bodies, including an Architectural Arts Chapter, an Institute of Calligraphy & Seal-Carving Research, an Institute of Fine Arts Research, a Calligraphy & Painting Training School, a plein-air sketching base, and a calligraphy & painting mounting studio. The Association regularly holds a range of activities, including literary gatherings (雅集), the Double Ninth Festival calligraphy & painting brush meet, and New Year couplet-writing and giving. It was founded with two principal goals: first, to establish itself within Canada's art community while engaging artists worldwide, holding a regular international calligraphy and painting exhibition to build a world-class art fair; and second, to develop an art museum — a modern, multi-purpose building offering art collection, exhibition, and auction functions, together with independent spaces for art education, conferences and performances, meetings, and cultural tourism and dining.
Our programming brings together calligraphy, painting, seal carving, and intangible cultural heritage, connecting artists in Canada with peers around the world.
